Description
Introduction

I started making tracks in November 2020 with RTB as I wanted a fast result.
By December I was so frustrated by the limitations of this app that I dumped it and started from scratch with BLENDER and AC-Editor - the hard way.
After some trials and many errors, I decided to go for a small “Learning Project” in June 2021.

The Marshland "Club" track , with reasonable dimensions so I hopefully wouldn´t get lost again.

I choose my backyard as location for the track, so I was able to get out with my camera and take shots of the landscape within a few minutes.
And I really do like this piece of land.

But: The existing roads and paths in my backyard are only narrow or not existing at all.

So to allow for some fun racing I had to put out a 10m wide road somehow around.

It is pure fantasy!

I even added a 10m „hill“ into the perfectly flat landscape to allow for some level changes.

The CLUB track:
Type: circuit
Length: 2,5km
Width: 10m
Pit boxes: 32
Directions: clockwise & reverse

It is located in the midst of a wind farm with lots of generators and electricity pylons.
All around the track there are street lights to allow for night racing and the sharp corners are equipped with curbs.

The 32 pits have fully equipped garages and numbering.

The marshland soil is quite soft, so the roads tend to sink in and get some “waves” and there are ditches everywhere.

The physics:
By the FFB of my DD-wheel, I learned that some of the AC cars are really sensitive to waves in the track surface, if they are not running orthogonal to the driving direction – they try to wrench your arm off , even on a straight line.

So to allow for the use of every car you like, I have put in physics folders 0-A-B-C-D to choose a suitable roughness by copying a physics file into the track folder.
(Same with the “Reverb” settings in the “DATA” folders - I didn´t find a better way yet)

The track has 2 camera sets for the normal layout and 1 for the reverse.

The visual settings require the use of latest CSP to get the procedural grass, lighting and rotating generators working.

Final remark:
I dedicate the tracks that I make to the guys at Discord.me/VintageAC.

Their enthusiasm and humour while online racing are the reason that I have put back „Assetto Corsa“ on my HD – having so much fun racing with these vintage cars.
The flags along pit lane are in the colours of the nations of the „race-drivers“ @Vac.

Most of all I want to thank:
@Kunos for the best racing game at the moment! – as it is openly designed for “modding”
@Blender – for being such a great bunch of software (but it is still very hard to learn)

@LilSki for his great tutorials! – without them I would have been stuck in RTB.
@luchian for all his hints and links! - to get me out of the mess
and all the other guys at “track-building-series”! - my most important knowledge base

@Jonah Hax for running the VAC-club! (and perpetual testing and finding all the bugs)
@Felix789 for his “camera.ini” files and much input

and all @Vac for fun we had at our Beta-test-races!

I stole from other tracks the car models: “Ambulance”, “blue Sprinter” and “grey Skoda”.
The rest is made from scratch – this was the fun part!

Textures are from scratch or downloaded from various websites (I cannot remember)
Trees from https://meye.dk/ ! These are really wonderful

So:
Have fun!

And remember: Check the fuel before race start!
