The VW Polo is, in a sense, an iconic car for Russian racing. Back in the early 2000s, a Polo cup was organized, which became the first domestic one-make tournament for foreign cars.

It was from this Cup that the current Touring Light class of the SMP RCRS (Russian Series of Circuit Racing) emerged, and VW cars still compete – of course, we’re speaking of a completely different generation of a popular compact class model.
