The Sauerlandring was a circuit planned in the late 1960s by Baron Karl von Wendt, a passionate racer himself. Located near his hometown of Gevelinghausen, this track was intended to challenge the Nürburgring and Hockenheimring as the third permanent circuit in Germany.<br>

Unfortunately, the circuit was never realized and has been largely forgotten. Only a few photographs of the proposed design remain. Inspired by these, I decided to bring the circuit to life—at least in digital form—for everyone to enjoy. Of course with the intended location and layout!<br>

The general appearance is intended to reflect the circuit as it might have looked in the early 1970s, with less stringent safety measures and high curbs. To pay tribute to Baron von Wendt, sponsor boards around the track feature references to him, his racing friends, and his family.<br>
The circuit has a roller coaster like layout, with blind crests and high elevation changes which makes every 5.1 km lap an unique challenge in itself!<br>
The circuit is most suited for sportscars and Formula single seaters from the 1960s and 1970s.<br>
