Description
Since 1960, the historic track near Lake Maggiore in Italy.The Motodromo Kartodromo, Pista Azzurra Borgo Ticino, finally on Assetto Corsa.<br>
Among the many ace drivers who have raced on the asphalt of the Pista Azzurra, we remember: the Italian champion of the 200 twin-engine class in 1963, Angelo Broggini; Susanna Raganelli, Italian champion of the 100 Super class in 1965; Piero Necchi, Italian champion of the 100 class - 1st category in 1970; and the late Formula One driver, Ronnie Peterson.<br>
The facility has hosted various kart competitions over time, culminating in an Italian championship in the 135 cc class, and has been frequently used by many engine and chassis manufacturers for the development and testing of their vehicles.<br>
In the summer of 2004, the track was completely redone to comply with new safety regulations imposed by international organizations.
